Description Rotorua is one of the North Island's most popular tourist destinations for both Kiwis and overseas visitors alike. In 2007 there were an estimated 2.9 million visitor arrivals. Here, in this first book of Stories Behind the Scenery series, Mike Hollman's stunning photographs hilight the unique beauty of Rotorua. Sue Hall's text gives the reader the 'stories': the unique geology, the thermal activity, the Maori mythology, the people of the region from the earliest inhabitants, and the sports and activities on offer. A gorgeous souvenir of a magical destination.
