Akio Shibata

Akio Shibata was born in Nakatsugawa, Japan, in 1942. During his time as manager of Nagoya Terminal Hotel, he turned the hotel around from a four-year loss streak into a profitable business. He has since founded the non-profit Associa Shiyuukan, and works as its board chairman to encourage kindness, connection and warmth through lectures, event planning, writing, and other efforts.
