Equality begins when Julian West returns to the year 2000 to continue his education. The book describes an ideal society in that year.

Edward Bellamy

Edward Bellamy (1850-1898)

Edward Bellamy was a US author and journalist and is best known for his Utopian novel Looking Backward: 2000-1887 and its sequel Equality. He died of tuberculosis, aged 48.
