H.G. Wells

Herbert George Wells (1866-1946) was an English writer, acknowledged as the 'father of science fiction', for the depth and insight of his work. He was a prolific author and foresaw the advent of airplanes, tanks, space travel and nuclear weapons. He wrote of time travel, alien invasion, invisibility and biological engineering.
