John Munro

John Munro (1849-1930)

John Munro was a British engineer and professor of mechanical engineering at Bristol. He wrote three tales of genre interest: "A Message from Mars", published in Cassell's Family Magazine in 1894, "Sun-Rise in the Moon, also published in Cassell's in 1894, and A Trip To Venus in 1897, which incorporates "A Message from Mars" as the first chapter.
