Kes Gray lives in Witham, Essex, with his wife, young family and assortment of animals. After a career working in television advertising, Kes has established himself as a popular and prize-winning children's author. His picture book, Eat Your Peas, illustrated by Nick Sharratt won the 2001 Red House Children's Book award, which is judged entirely by children.
