The Anger of God

Autumn 1379, and the kingdom is seething with discontent as John of Gaunt is invested with the power of the crown. The French attack the southern ports and economic hardship reigns in the countryside, where the mysterious leader of the Great community of the Realm, who proclaims himself 'IRA DEI', the anger of God, is organising a revolt.

Gaunt's plans to win over the great merchant princes of the capital are thrown into chaos by a series of bloody murders.
