Alexander Baron
Alexander Baron (1917 1999) was a British author and screenwriter. Widely acclaimed in his lifetime, Baron rose to prominence with this, his first novel, based on his own experiences of D-Day and the advance into Normandy with the Pioneer Corps. From the City, From the Plough quickly became a bestseller and cemented Baron s reputation as a skilled, powerful writer.
